The purpose of this course is to acquaint newly hired food handlers/servers at Alina Asher Catering Company with gluten safety protocols.

Gluten Safety
Alina Asher Catering Company prides itself on being inclusive and providing a safe dining experience for guests with Celiac Disease (CD) and Gluten Intolerance (GI). Because of this, over 70% of our catering events include guests with CD and GI. Therefore, service to guests with CD and GI is a frequent occurrence.
To keep these guests safe from gluten exposure (and the resulting symptoms and illness related to gluten exposure), all new employees will be trained in the health risks of gluten exposure and safe food handling for people with Celiac Disease/Gluten Intolerance.
With proper training, all employees will know the seriousness of gluten exposure to guests with CD and GI and as well as which foods have a low risk of containing gluten and which foods have a high risk of containing gluten. Employees will also be aware of the gluten free substitutions available at Alina Asher Catering Company.
Successful completion of the training will result in a reduced risk of unintended gluten exposure to our guests and a safe dining experience for all. This will also reduce the risk of litigation to Alina Asher Catering Company as a result of unsafe food handling practices.
